Tiffany…

For convenience, we choose to have a waste paper basket in our bedroom. Will it be filled with waste paper? Probably not… But we wanted  to have one available that was not terribly modern. The original paper wastebaskets were made of wicker or wire… And, primarily used in offices. We have chosen a simple basket made of wood. Plastic was not around during Victorian times…

Though we have the beautiful hanging Victorian lamps by our bedside, we needed a bit more light in the room. After much searching, I found this Tiffany-Style adjustable floor lamp. The tulip design is subtle yet evokes a distinctive Victorian style. We love that it is in cool tones, but with intricate Tiffany details. They say there are 180 glass pieces ( I did not count them to confirm). Then, they added 24 beads. All pieces are protected with mineral oil as part of the finishing process, The colors of the shade darken and are richer when not back lighted from the bulb. We feel we have another work of art, whether lighted or off…
